Will Vista make you more secure?

Everybody’s talking about Microsoft’s latest desktop operating system, Windows Vista, and anyone
who’s brave enough can now give the public beta a test drive. Those who appreciate a pretty interface have fallen in love with the new, more sophisticated look of Aero Glass. The obsessive-compulsive among us are already bemoaning the fact that everything is not where they left it in XP. And the security-conscious are busy inspecting Vista’s new security features and trying to determine just how effective they’ll be at protecting us from all the hackers and attackers lurking out there on the network.
One of Microsoft’s primary goals in designing Vista was to make the operating system more secure. Let’s take a look at what it has done toward that end. Will Vista make you more secure?
