Vista app compatibility: What is the story?

As Microsoft rounds the final bend of the winding Windows Vista road, I’m surprised we’ve heard so
little about application compatibility.
Sure, Jim Allchin, co-president of the Platforms and Services division, recently played up the need for Vista testers to push hard on making sure existing applications are backwards-compatible with Vista.
