Friday, September 15th, 2006

Microsoft’s [tag]Windows Vista[/tag], the next version of the company’s personal computer Windows Vista 003.jpgoperating system, may generate as many as 50,000 jobs in six European countries in the year after its release, the IDC researching firm estimated in a report Thursday.

The jobs will be a result of the €32 billion, or $41 billion, in revenue that Vista will generate in sales and servicing for companies in Britain, France, Germany, Poland, Spain and Denmark, IDC said in a report paid for by Microsoft. Vista alone will account for half of the 100,000 Windows-related jobs created in the period, IDC said.
