A Day in the Life of a Vista Developer

Things are Looking Grim for the Windows Development Team? With the immense success of the Windows Vista 005.jpgXbox, I can’t help but wonder if the Vista team feels a lot like the old 1980s developers at Apple when everyone was raving about their new "Macintosh" line of computers. Alone, left behind and maybe even outdated.

Think about it, you come into work each day, sit down to open yet another e-mail from a co-worker who sent you yet another article highlighting a perceived Vista shortcoming. True or not, it must hurt after awhile.

It’s a Vista Party! Well, Sort Of… While I’m not privy to such information, consider the potential anxiety the Vista developers are going to be feeling when (if) Microsoft throws some sort of Vista release party. Palms start to get sweaty, the developers’ nerves become frayed and anxiety builds up as the presenter gets ready to hit the power button. Time freezes, the system boots and then….
